FAQ

The common questions.

How pricing works, what we do and don’t take on, how soon we can come out, licensing, and who buys the materials — sorted before you call.

  • Common tasks have flat rates you can see right on our pricing page — a TV mount, a faucet swap, a drywall patch. Open-ended work is billed hourly at $89/hr with a one-hour minimum, billed in 30-minute steps. Either way, you approve the price before we start, and there are no surprise charges.

  • There is genuinely no job too small. A single shelf, one squeaky door, a loose handle — we say yes to the little stuff most companies won’t come out for. If you have several small things, batch them into one visit and you’ll get the best value.

  • We’re a general handyman, not a licensed electrician, plumber, or HVAC contractor. We do like-for-like fixture swaps, but not new electrical rough-in, panel work, gas lines, sewer work, or anything requiring a trade permit. If a job is out of our lane, we’ll tell you and point you to a trusted specialist.

  • We keep same-day slots open most weekdays and book a few days out for half- and full-day visits. Use the task picker or call us, and we’ll give you the soonest window that works. We arrive in the window we promise, and call ahead if anything changes.

  • Your choice. We can bring standard materials and bill them at cost on your invoice, or you can have your parts and fixtures on hand when we arrive. For specialty items — a specific faucet or light fixture — having it ready saves a parts run and keeps your bill down.

  • Yes. Right & Ready is a registered Idaho contractor, fully insured and bonded, and every pro who comes to your home is background-checked, uniformed, and covered. We’re happy to show proof of insurance on request.

  • Every visit carries a 90-day workmanship guarantee. If our work doesn’t hold up, we come back and make it right at no charge. Your satisfaction is the whole point — we’d rather fix it than have you tell a neighbor otherwise.

  • We collect payment when the work is done and you’re happy with it — card, tap-to-pay, or check. For larger half- and full-day jobs we may ask for a small deposit to hold the slot, credited toward your final invoice.
